Outlook: offense

With numbers uncharacteristically in the low-20s, returning starters are at a premium. It was a senior-laden playoff-qualifying squad in 2015 that had Alex Friedman and Cam Mazzone combine for 1,488 rushing yards and 21 TDs in the regular season. One silver lining amid that turnover, though, is QB Evan Faxon and RB Koron Davis are back. Faxon has the reps under his belt and savvy to conduct Coach Cliff Walton’s multi-faceted attack. Davis has shown promise the last two years as a split back and will be a focal point as he moves to running back. The line continuity that has been a building block in recent years is no more with four new starters. How effectively an all under classmen group jells there will be vital.
