Outlook: offense

The Vikings return a trio of players among the area’s most talented at the skill positions in quarterback Aubrey Shabazz, running back Jerry Higgins and wide receiver Dan McGarry. Shabazz threw for 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns while Higgins amassed 793 yards and 15 touchdowns, each as sophomores. McGarry, a senior who looms over most defensive backs at 6-foot-4, caught 26 passes for 591 yards. They should improve on those numbers in 2016 as their firepower makes VASJ one of the most formidable teams in the North Coast League’s White division. The Vikings will look to develop depth on the offensive line, as right tackle Mason Alexander returns as the only starter from last season.
