Mary Kay Coughlin (nee Smith), 89 of Willowick, passed away Thursday ruary 23, 2017 at home. Born August 27, 1927 in Willoughby, she has been a lowick resident for 58 years.

Kay was the first parishione­r of St. Mary Magdalene Church. A member of the Ladies Guild, Mother Cabrini Circle, St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Democratic Society and shook hands with JFK, worked at election polls for 25 years. She loved camping and ing, making over 500 afghans.

Loving mother of Regina (Edward) Struna, Jacqueline Coughlin, William (Carole), Virginia (J. Bryan) Edwards, Joseph (Paula) and Kelly (Jeff) Matier; grandmothe­r of Holly (David) Womack, Bonnie and Shelley Struna, Jennifer (Scott) Schaupeter, Theresa (Mark) brock, Amy (Dave) O’Dea, Maureen Valko, William (Renee), Erin (Naif) Sinada, Candace (Matt) Platt, Tim Edwards, Beckie (Jackie) Edwards, Joe, Jim, Jake, Alex and Kate ier; great-grandmothe­r of 14; sister of Patricia (Jack) Frost.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, William; son, Timothy Sean; parents, John and gianna Smith; siblings, Regina and James Smith.

Visitation will be held Monday February 27th from 3 till 8 p.m. at Jack Monreal – Coyne Funeral Home, 31925 Vine St. in Willowick.

Funeral mass will be Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary dalene Church, 32114 Vine Street in Willowick. Family and friends will meet 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Kay will be buried at All Souls Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributi­ons be made in Kay’s memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44110 or St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Mary Magdalene Church.
