Army division seeks those who served
The Second (Indianhead) Division Association is searching for anyone who served in the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division at any time.
This year the association will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the division which was formed in France during World War I.

Railroad museum to host Model Train Days
The Painesville Railroad Museum (aka NYC Painesville Depot), 475 Railroad St., Painesville, will host a Model Train Days with modular displays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 6- 7.
See operating layouts in ‘N’ Scale, ‘HO’ Scale, ‘S’ gauge, ‘O’ Gauge and ‘G’ Gauge and local modular layouts.
There will also be a model train flea market on the grounds.
To reserve a spot to sell train items, a 10 foot by 20 foot spot is $10 per day. Vendors are responsible for their own table, chairs and tents.
Food and drinks will be available.

Stephen Stosh Simcak fundraiser set
The second annual Stephen Stosh Simcak Foundation Committee fundraiser will be 3 to 10 p.m., May 6 at Deekers Restaurant, 8455 Station St., Mentor.
Tickets are $12 per person and include a spaghetti dinner, and cash bar.
The event will also include music, volleyball tournaments, a Chinese auction, baskets, 50/50, side boards, and Booze table.

The foundation’s goal is to raise money for a fund for the 7-year-old son of the late Stephen Stosh Simcak.
The event also promotes heroin awareness, and hopes to shine a light on the huge epidemic that heroin has become.
The success of the fund raiser also assists in raising money for the Lake Geauga Recovery Center as well.
