Wizards reclaim series lead, 3-2

Back at home, and back in charge, Bradley Beal scored 27 points, and John Wall added 20 points and 14 assists, leading the Wizards to a 103-99 victory over the Hawks on Wednesday night for a 3-2 lead in their first-round Eastern Conference playoff series.

Dennis Schroder led the Hawks with 29 points, making a career high-tying five 3s, and 11 assists.

CELTICS TAKE 3-2 LEAD >> Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley scored 24 points apiece to help the Celtics beat the Bulls, 108-97, and take a 3-2 lead in their firstround playoff series.

Dwyane Wade had 26 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists for Chicago.

LYNCH PASSES PHYSICAL, REACHES DEAL WITH OAKLAND >> Marshawn Lynch is coming out of retirement after agreeing on a twoyear deal with the Raiders that paved the way for a trade to his hometown team in Oakland.

Lynch passed a physical Wednesday and agreed to a restructur­ed two-year contract. Those were the final steps needed before Seattle could trade his rights along with a 2018 sixthround pick to the Raiders for a 2018 fifth-rounder.

Lynch also must apply to the NFL for reinstatem­ent from the retired list before he can play with the Raiders.

SHARAPOVA RETURNS >> Looking relieved, Maria Sharapova went through her familiar routine of waving to the crowd and blowing kisses after winning her first match on her return from a 15-month doping ban on Wednesday.

The five-time Grand Slam champion and former No. 1 beat Roberta Vinci 7-5, 6-3 in the opening round of the Porsche Grand Prix.

Sharapova had earlier been given a lukewarm welcome by the 4,500 fans, receiving a polite applause and some whistling when she entered the arena.

WILLIAMS’ PREGNANCY POST AN ACCIDENT >> Serena Williams says she was taking a personal photo of her progressin­g pregnancy on Snapchat when she accidental­ly pressed the wrong button and made the post public.

The photo of the tennis superstar in a one piece bathing suit was captioned “20 weeks.” Despite the lack of informatio­n, it immediatel­y made headlines around the world last week. Her publicist later confirmed the pregnancy to The Associated Press.
