Riverside Schools hosts 5K race

Riverside Schools is hosting a 5K race on May 6 to support a local organization.

The Riverside Cares 5K will start at Riverside High School, 585 Riverside Drive in Painesville Township. There will also be a free Fun Run for children ages 6 and younger.

Event day registration will be held from 7 to 8:15 a.m. with the Kids Fun Run beginning at 8:15 a.m. and the 5K race at 8:30 a.m.

Pre-registration is available online at www.greaterclevelandxc.com. EarlyBird registration is $15 and ends April 30. On May 1, the tickets can be purchased for $20 and on the day of the event tickets will be $25.

All proceeds will go to United Way of Lake County.
