Young Leaders seek funding requests in Lake County
Young Leaders of United Way of Lake County is now accepting funding requests from agencies and programs that directly impact the lives of youth in the county.
The mission of the Young Leaders is to positively impact the lives of children in Lake County through improved health and education, according to a press release. They work toward this, in part, via the support of nonprofit organizations in the county with grants that promote a similar mission geared toward youth.
Parties interested in applying for funds must fill out a grant application form which can be found on United Way of Lake County’s website, www.uwlc. org/yl-grant-funding-application.
Questions may be directed to Jodi Matsko via email at jmatsko@uwlc.org or by phone at 440-6391236. Applications are being accepted now through June 30.
Organizations and agencies selected to receive grants will be announced when funds are distributed later this summer, the release stated.
Young Leaders of United Way of Lake County was established in 2014 and this is their second funding cycle.
The group raises donations throughout the year to support their grant funding program through membership fees, speaker engagements, and their annual Golf Outing fundraiser in September.
Funds raised are also used to help advance the goal of engaging, empowering, mentoring and supporting the youth of our community in the achievement of their goals, the release stated.
The group welcomes new members interested in volunteering their time to impact lives in the community.
