• Clippers: Indians outfielder Brandon Guyer hit a home run and scored three runs in the Triple-A Clippers’ 9-3 victory over visiting Gwinnett. DH Ronny Rodriguez hit a three-run homer as part of a six-run first inning, and Richie Shaffer hit a two-run blast in the second for the Clippers (35-33). Shaffer has 54 RBI this season. Chris Narveson earned went 5 2⁄3 innings to earn his first victory of the season against four defeats.

• Rubber Ducks: Francisco Mejia’s pinch-hit double drove in Dorssys Paulino with the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as Double-A Akron (33-31) beat Portland, 3-2. Shortstop Yu-Cheng Chang hit his 14th home run of the season. He has 38 RBI.

• Hillcats: Host Frederick chased advanced Single-A starter Triston McKenzie after 1 2⁄3 innings in an 11-5 victory over the Hillcats. McKenzie gave up seven runs, including three home runs, on six hits. He struck out one and walked one.
