Hit-skip suspects tentatively ID’d
Mentor police were looking for two suspects in connection with a hit-skip that occurred at the McDonald’s on Heisley Road.
According to police, the incident occurred at 10:58 a.m., June 21, at the restaurant, 5745 Heisley Road.
A photo of the alleged driver, who was wearing a sleeveless shirt and driving a silver vehicle, can be viewed with a story on news-herald.com.
At 10 p.m. June 27, the department posted on its Facebook page that: “With more than 46,000 post views and numerous tips, the hit skip suspects have been tentatively identified. Thank you again!”
Woman accused of robbery involvement
An 18-year-old Cleveland woman is accused of being involved in a Mentor robbery June 26, Mentor Municipal Court records show.
Shenise V. White, whose address is listed as 17701 Schenely Ave., was arraigned June 27 on second-degree felony complicity to robbery. She is being held on a $100,000/10 percent cash or surety bond pending her July 6 preliminary hearing, according to her arraignment paperwork.
If convicted, White could get up to eight years behind bars.
Man accused of burglary, theft
A Willowick resident was arraigned June 27 in Willoughby Municipal Court on charges that he burglarized and stole from a residence there June 8, according to court records.
Devante M. Diturno, 22, whose address is listed as 455 E. 330th St., is charged with third-degree felony burglary and fifthdegree felony theft. He is being held on a $7,500/10 percent bond pending a July 6 preliminary hearing, his arraignment paperwork shows.
If convicted, Diturno could be sentenced to four years’ confinement.
