Woman accused of evidence tampering
A 31-year-old Painesville woman is accused of holding cocaine, defacing a document of form of identification and possessing a crack pipe following her arrest July 9 by Lake County Sheriff’s deputy, Painesville Municipal Court records show.
Ashlea E. Farmwald, of 686 Erie St. No. 109, is charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence, fourth-degree felony cocaine possession and fourth-degree misdemeanor possessing drug paraphernalia.
If convicted of the two felonies alone, Farmwald could get up to 4 1/2 years behind bars.
Bond was set at $5,000/10 percent cash or surety and a pretrial/preliminary hearing is scheduled July 18, Farmwald’s arraignment file confirms.
Man arraigned on firearms charges
A Cleveland man arrested by police in Wickliffe July 11 appeared in Willoughby Municipal Court later that day on two felony firearms charges, court records show.
Timothy Kimbrough, 31, of 1455 Clermont Road, faces third-degree felony having weapons under disability and fourth-degree felony improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle after officers say they found him in possession of a Kahr .45 caliber pistol. He’s also charged with misdemeanor counts of obstructing official business, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and marijuana possession.
If convicted of the felony charges alone, Kimbrough faces up to 4 1/2 years in prison. He’s being held on a $25,000 cash/surety bond pending a July 20 pretrial/preliminary hearing, his arraignment paperwork confirms.
Bainbridge police aim to ID theft suspects
Bainbridge Township police are looking for help in identifying a pair of suspects accused of stealing from the township’s Wal-Mart.
According to police, the suspects were seen leaving the store with unpaid items and left in an older model gold Ford Taurus. Police said the suspects have been involved in thefts from other area Wal-Mart stores. A surveillance photo of the suspects can be viewed with a story on news-herald. com.

Man faces assault, obstruction charges
A Painesville man accused of creating a disturbance in Grand River Village July 8 was arraigned on multiple charges July 10 in Painesville Municipal Court, records show.
Cesar Fuentes Cardenas, 23, of 114 Carmody Drive, is charged with fifth-degree felony assault (the victim being a police officer), fifth-degree felony obstructing official business, first-degree misdemeanor inducing panic and second-degree misdemeanor resisting arrest, his arraignment file confirms.
If convicted of both felonies, Fuentes Cardenas could get up to two years behind bars. He’s being held on a $125,000/10 percent cash or surety bond and has a pretrial/preliminary hearing scheduled July 17, his court documents state.
