Andrew M. Matteo, 87, a lifetime resi dent of Wickliffe, passed away August 12, 2017, at Hospice of the Western Reserve.

He was born September 8, 1929 in Cleveland and moved to Wickliffe shortly after. Andy lived a fulfilled life of faith and family and friendship­s.

As the owner of M. A. Matteo & Son Landscapin­g and his garage fix-it shop, most will remember Andy for his amicable smile and genuine conversati­ons. was a strong and generous leader who served his community in many ways inthe cluding membership in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parish, Wickliffe I& A Club, K of C, the Wickliffe Sign Review Board, and was a proud inductee of the Wickliffe Community Hall of Fame.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Shirley; par ents Michele and Lydia Matteo; sister, Judy Osters; in law, Clarence D Yeager. He is survived by his sister, Vivian Yeager; brother in law, Daniel Osters; sister-in-law Jeanette Ranallo; his children, Michele Matteo, Louis Matteo, Susan Kotnik, Kathy (Dan) Foldesy, Michael Matteo; grandchild­ren, Alyssa Foldesy, Will Matteo, Matt Foldesy, Sam Kotnik, Minephat chael Kotnik, and John Matteo; and many nieces and ews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 16, from 3 to 8 p.m. Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Ave. Wickliffe, Ohio.

The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Thursday, August 17 at 10:00 a.m. 39850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribu tions in Andy’s name may be made to Hospice of the ern Reserve, at hospicewr.org
