Kenneth G. Krakau, age 67, of rain, formerly of Kirtland, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday August 12, 2017 with his treasured family by his side, after a long hard-fought battle with cancer.

He was born on March 1, 1950 in clid, Ohio. He was a graduate of clid High School and a member of the Moose Lodge # 281 Port Clinton, Ohio.

Ken was the owner of Johnny’s tomatic Transmissi­on shop in Cleveland, Ohio for the past 18 years. Before ing his own business, he was a known and trusted service manager of several car ships on the East side of Cleveland.

Ken’s greatest source of happiness and enjoyment always came from being with his family. Also lending a helping hand to anyone in need and especially spending time with his loved grandchild­ren and grandpuppi­es. Kenneth’s love, sonality, and devotion to family can easily be seen shining through each of his children and grandchild­ren. There were also many things he enjoyed doing in life such as; fishing, boating, camping, swimming, and water skiing. When you couldn’t find him enjoying the outdoors, he would be seen cleaning, playing cards or Bingo at Portagevie­w ground. Ken was also known for being an avid Cleveland sports fan, a Die Hard Browns fan and a Dale Earnhardt memorabili­a collector.

Ken is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cecelia (Sue) Krakau (nee Myers); his children Walter (Kristen) Krakau, of Lorain, Angela (Bill) Ball, of Cave City, Ky., Todd (Laurie) McMaster, of Aurora, and Matthew McMaster, of Richmond, Va.; his grandchild­ren, Zac and Lucas Ball, Avery, Grayson, and Griffin McMaster, and Savannah; many nieces, ing, Renee (Brian) Borowski, and many nephews, including Brent (Stephanie) Krakau and Scott Krakau. And his beloved dogs Molly and Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George E. and Margaret A. (nee Shumney) Krakau; and his brother, James (Amy) Krakau.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 17, from 2 to 8 p.m., at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & tion Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 18 at 10 a.m. in the funeral center with Pastor William F. Ball officiatin­g.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons in his memory, may be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
