One dead in 3-vehicle Huntsburg Twp. crash
Police are investigating a crash that happened at the intersection of Princeton Road and U.S. Route. 322.
The Chardon post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle crash that happened at the intersection of Princeton Road and U.S. Route. 322 in Huntsburg Township Tuesday afternoon, an OHP media release states.
According to the OHP statement:
“Justin Schroeder, 25, of Willowick, was traveling westbound in a 1999 International Straight Truck on US 322. Donald Zerby, 64, of Willowick, was traveling eastbound in a 2010 Ford F350 Super Duty Truck on US 322. Joanne Grogan, 84, of Montville, was traveling southbound on Princeton Road. Mrs. Grogan failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Princeton Road and US 322 and drove into the side of the truck driven by Mr. Schroeder. Thus, causing Mr. Schroeder’s and Mrs. Grogan’s vehicles to collide with Mr. Zerby’s vehicle. After the collision, all 3 vehicles became engulfed in flames.”
Grogan was pronounced dead at the scene, the highway patrol reports. Schroeder and Zerby were taken from the scene to an unspecified hospital, the patrol confirms.
The Ohio Highway patrol’s investigation onto the incident is ongoing.
