The Browns claimed Kasen Williams, a wide receiver from the Seahawks and Reggie Davis, a wide receiver from the Falcons, along with quarterback Josh Woodrum from the Ravens on Sept. 3.

Two wide receivers are among five players awarded to the Browns on waivers Sept. 3 in a predictable shake-up to the bottom of their roster.

Kasen Williams, a wide receiver from the Seahawks and Reggie Davis, a wide receiver from the Falcons, were claimed along with quarterback Josh Woodrum from the Ravens plus defensive back Michael Jordan from the Rams and defensive lineman T.Y. McGill from the Colts.

Wide receiver Rashard Higgins, a 2016 fifth-round draft choice, defensive back Darius Hillary, defensive back Kai Nacua and defensive lineman Tyrone Holmes were waived. The contract of Marcus Burley was terminated.

Wide receiver was a glaring weakness in training camp and preseason.

Three of the six receivers on the current roster were acquired in a 24-hour span.

Prior to claiming Davis and Williams the Browns on Sept. 2 traded a 2018 sixth-round draft pick to the Steelers for wide receiver Sammie Coates and a 2019 seventh-round pick.

Williams, 6-foot-1, 219 pounds, played the past two seasons with the Seahawks after signing as an undrafted rookie in 2015. He played in three regular season games in two years. He led the Seahawks in the 2017 preseason with nine catches for 208 yards and a touchdown.

Davis, an undrafted rookie, caught 38 passes in 49 career games for the University of Georgia.

McGill, 6-foot, 299 pounds, played the past two seasons with the Colts. He had 17 total tackles, five sacks, 15 quarterback pressures and one forced fumble in 25 career games.

Woodrum, 6-foot-3, 236 pounds, completed 25 of 36 passes for 321 yards and two touchdowns for the Ravens in the preseason.

Jordan, 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, spent most of 2016 on the Rams practice squad.

He was promoted to the 53-man roster in Week 13 and totaled 20 tackles.
