Eastlake police are looking for two suspects who allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint Sept. 29.

According to Eastlake police, officers responded to what initially appeared to be a hit-skip crash at the intersection of Lake Shore Boulevard and Reeves Road at 5:23 a.m.

After arrival, police said there was a slight language barrier between the victim and the officer, but they learned she had just left a bank ATM moments earlier. When she reached the intersection, her vehicle was struck from behind by another car.

After exiting the vehicle to investigate, the occupants of the other car exited and pointed what was described as semi-automatic handguns at the victim and demanded she lay on the ground while one of the suspects went into her car and stole her purse and cell phone, and then fled the scene.

A passer-by who did not see the robbery occur stopped to see why the victim was distraught and called the police.

The two suspects were described as black males, both 25 to 30 years of age, with one wearing a white or light-colored hoodie and the second wearing a black hoodie, with both wearing jeans and displaying handguns. They fled the scene in what was described as an older model red sport utility vehicle in an unknown direction.

Police are investigating, and anyone with information is asked to call 440951-1400.
