For over two decades the Patterson Farms in Chester Township have brought families together for the annual Fun Fest.

Fun Fest Manager Pam Patterson said they have been organizing the event for 25 years.

It is geared towards families and children between the ages of 2 and 10, she said.

On Oct. 1, hundreds visited Patterson Farms Mulberry Location at 8765 Mulberry Road for fall fun and adventure.

The family-owned farm tucked away in Geauga County offered numerous outdoor farm-themed activities and games including 14 different slides, peddle tractors, a cornstalk maze and hay pavilion.

Patterson says it is the ultimate fall event where people can enjoy

the crisp air, changing of leaves and apple picking.

Guests could go on a nature hike through the ravines and hills and enjoy a free wagon ride.

Pumpkin painting was also available for $4.

First-time visitor Carol Griffin of Euclid brought her eight-year-old grandson to the fest.

“He’s having a great time,” she said. “It is a great family event.”

Brothers Mitchell Dodd, 11, and William Dodd, 7, said they come nearly every year and enjoy the slides, kettle corn and barrel rolls.

“On a beautiful day people come out and make beautiful memories,” Patterson said.

Fun Fest will end Oct. 29. It is opened daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
