Area student named to dean’s list
Novelty resident and Azusa Pacific University student Zachary Luciano made the academic Deans’ List at APU. A Communication Studies Major, Luciano is honored for a spring semester 2017 academic standing of a 3.5 or better grade-point average.
Area resident earns degree
Spencer Pajk graduated from Grinnell College on May 22 as one of 390 members of the class of 2017.
Pajk earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Chemistry.
Pajk was also the recipient of the ACS Inorganic Chemistry Award, Luther Erickson Summer Research Fellowship Award.
Pajk is the child of Natalie R. Pajk of Mentor-on-The-Lake.
Area graduating seniors earn awards
John Carroll University recently announced the names of graduating seniors selected for achievement awards at the end of the academic year.
Each department in the University’s College of Arts and Sciences and the Boler School of Business selects a graduating senior for special recognition.

Area residents named to dean’s list
Loyola University Maryland announced the members of its spring 2017 Dean’s List. In order to qualify for the Dean’s List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.
