An Eastlake man accused of raping a boy was arraigned Oct. 27 on a 28-count indictment.

Ronald Wosky II, 40, waived his right to be present at the arraignment in Lake County Common Pleas Court.

H e pleaded not guilty via his public defender to one count each of rape, gross sexual imposition and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. According to the indictment, the rape charge stemmed from actions committed against a 12-year-old victim beginning in June 2009 through March 2010 in Eastlake.

Wosky also pleaded not guilty to five counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, 10 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and 10 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.

The unlawful sexual conduct against the boy reportedly occurred between March 2010 and March 2013.

The pandering count stemmed from alleged incidents that took place this year on March 1. Wosky is accused of possessing obscene material showing a minor engaging in sexual activity, masturbation or bestiality.

The child was not a stranger to Wosky, Lake County Prosecutor Charles Coulson said.

The defendant is out of jail on his own recognizance with the condition he have no contact with children.

The case has been assigned to Judge John P. O’Donnell.

Since the alleged victim was under 13, Wosky could be sentenced to life in prison without parole if convicted of rape.
