Four area teams in fi­nal grid state poll

Four area teams were ranked by the As­so­ci­ated Press in the fi­nal AP foot­ball poll of the sea­son.

In Di­vi­sion I, Men­tor (9-1) was voted sixth. The Car­di­nals piled up 106 vot­ing points, trail­ing poll champ St. Ig­natius (18 first-place votes, 216 vot­ing points) and four oth­ers.

Also earn­ing votes in Di­vi­sion I was Eu­clid (8-2). The Pan­thers were 12th with 12 vot­ing points.

In Di­vi­sion IV, Perry fin­ished the polling sea­son as the thir­dranked team with two first-place votes an 153 vot­ing points. The Pi­rates trailed poll champ Steubenville (17, 201) and Ger­man­town Val­ley View (3, 180).

In Di­vi­sion VI, Kirt­land was the poll run­ner-up to poll champ Maria Stein Mar­ion Lo­cal. The Hor­nets gar­nered one first-place vote and 182 vot­ing points, trail­ing the Fly­ers’ 18 first-place votes and 203 vot­ing points.
