Eastlake’s Economic and Community Development Committee will be hosting a meeting designed to create communication among the cities of Eastlake and Willowick, and business owners along Vine Street.

The initial Vine Street Business Corridor meeting, scheduled for 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Stonehill Hotels and Suites, 35000 Curtis Blvd., plans to focus on networking and cross-promoting Vine Street businesses. In addition, meeting participants will discuss current issues, such as lack of aesthetics and finding solutions to problems that the businesses face.

“We realize that business success translates into a stronger community and higher quality of life for our residents,” Michael Zuren, committee chairman said.

Organizers are planning to hold the meetings on a regular basis as they work to find avenues to network, partner, promote and provide win-win relationships with the businesses, Zuren said. The meeting also will include discussions on using social media more effectively, as well as upgrading the city’s website.

“The city of Eastlake Economic and Community Development Committee has been and will continue to support and encourage business success,” Zuren said. “During the meeting, we will be developing a welcome package for new residents and businesses. We are also discussing weekly and monthly newsletters promoting local businesses and organizations.”

The meeting is a collaborative effort among Eastlake Mayor Dennis Morley, Willowick Mayor Rich Regovich, Lake County Commissioner Jerry Cirino, and the Eastlake Economic and Community Development Committee.
