Police: Woman hits boyfriend with car

A Warrensvil­le Heights woman has been charged with felonious assault during an incident in Wickliffe.

A Warrensvil­le Heights woman has been charged with second-degree felonious assault after allegedly hitting her boyfriend with her car on Route 2 and seriously injuring him Nov. 11.

According to Wickliffe police, 28-year-old Arrione Nolcox had an argument around 9 a.m. with her boyfriend at the eastbound East 305th Street exit of Route 2. The boyfriend, a 28-year-old from East Cleveland, got out of the car and began walking along the berm.

Nolcox struck him with her car, pinning him between the car and the guardrail, police say.

The boyfriend was taken to an area hospital, where he underwent surgery for a broken right leg.

Nolcox stayed at the scene and was cooperativ­e with police, Lt. Pat Hengst said.

She was arraigned Nov. 13 in Willoughby Municipal Court. A preliminar­y hearing is scheduled for Nov. 16.
