Carroll B. Miller, 90, beloved husband, father, grandfathe­r, and great-grandfathe­r passed away at his residence rounded by his family on November 2017.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 16 at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, Ohio. Please meet at the church.

Family and friends may call 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednes-Mulqueeny day, November 15 at Spear Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesvill­e.

Carroll graduated from North High School in Columbus, Ohio. Upon graduation he entered the United States Navy. After leaving the service he started his career as a Colum proud bus, Ohio firefighte­r and as a paramedic he was most of 285 safe baby deliveries. Upon retirement in 1979 he moved to Naples, Florida, fulfilling a lifetime goal. In 1991 he moved to Perry, Ohio to be closer to his children and grand and children. He was very proud of the home he built himself shared with his wife.

Carroll enjoyed a second career as a remodeler and a cabi and net/furniture maker. He enjoyed meeting new people sharing “stories”. He was an active member of St. Cyprian’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Lou (Galilei) Miller; children, Debra A. (Bill) Kanda, and Craig (Sandy) Miller; grandchild­ren, Tim (Machille) Kanda, Steve (Chelsea) Kanda, Greg (Erin) Kanda, Wendy (Brandon) Strinsa, Rob Kanda, David Kanda, Christophe­r Kanda; Andy (Brittany) Miller, Mary (Paul) Coleman, and Jennie Miller; great-grandchild­ren, Addison, Aiden and Luke Miller, Lily and Landon Strnisa and Ava Kanda; sister, Willette (Miller) Fox; brothers-in-law, Frank Galilei and Harry sister-in-Nuzuem; law, Betty Jo (Danny) LaPenna. He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Lola (Bailey) Miller; sister, Allison Nuzuem; brother, Roger Miller; brothers-in-law, Bob Fox, Tony (Sofia) Galilei, Jerry Galilei, and William F. Galilei; sisters in law, Rose (Lou) DiPaolo, and Connie (Bob) Beum (Bill Thomas); father and mother-in-law, Frank, Sr., and Jennie Galilei.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carroll’s memory to St. Cyprian’s Catholic Church, or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
