Woman faces forgery, bad-check counts
A Willoughby Hills woman who turned herself in on a warrant Nov. 13 in Mentor faces charges related to a May 3 offense, Mentor Municipal Court records state.
Valencia D. Davis, 49, of 2255 Par Lane No. 924, was arraigned on fourthdegree felony forgery and fourth-degree felony passing bad checks in connection with a check for $32,815 she’s accused of passing at Cardinal Credit Union, her arraignment paperwork confirms.
If convicted of both counts, she faces up to three years’ confinement. Davis is free on a $20,000 personal recognizance bond and has a preliminary hearing scheduled Dec. 7, court files show.
