Annual Holiday Celebration returns for seventh year
Euclid’s holiday tradition returns Dec. 1 with the seventh annual Holiday Celebration.
The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Triangle Park, located at the Shore Cultural Centre, 291 E. 222nd St.
The festive event features horse-drawn wagon rides, games, a kids library show, free entertainment, and activities and crafts for kids, along with the lighting of the holiday tree and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
“The Euclid Holiday Celebration is a tradition for many families, and brings the community together to be able to enjoy affordable festive entertainment and activities,” said Chris Cipriani, Shore’s director of programming and marketing.
A Holiday Church Choir Concert will be held in the auditorium, with the Holiday Bistro on the lower level of Shore serving a variety of foods for dinein or to go. An ice sculptor will also be on site to create holiday-themed art.
Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail said the annual fete is a great way to kick off the holiday season.
“We will light up the downtown area and come together as a community to enjoy holiday activities, entertainment and fellowship. I am grateful for the community partnerships and sponsorships that help support this annual event and look forward to a wonderful evening.”
Shore’s Executive Director Laura Kidder is also pleased to see the holiday tradition continue.
“We are so glad to be able to do this event for the community and we truly thank our sponsors for making this happen,” she said.
