Bernita Quinn Wiegand (nee Gund), age 90, was the beloved wife of Clifford Wiegand and the late Michael Gerard Quinn; the loving mother of Bernita Kavulich (husband James), Elizabeth Opalich (husband William), Maureen Rawley (husband Michael), Eileen Sraj (husband Michael, deceased) and Barbara Buzonas (husband Benjamin, deceased); the devoted grandmothe­r of 15; great-grandmothe­r of step10; grandmothe­r of 15; and grandmothe­r of 6; and the dearest sister of Beatrice Gund and the late Rita Gund. Bernita was born on May 17, 1927, in Cleveland and passed away on December 12, 2017. She was a resident of Mentor since 1991 and formerly of Lyndhurst. Bernita was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Missions Circle, Christ Child Society, Special Needs PSR Program and the Bereavemen­t Luncheon Program. She was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church previously where she was involved with the Renewal Program. Bernita graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1945. She was a homemaker and a librarian at St. Clare. Bernita loved praying the rosary and was faithful and prayerful. She will be remembered most as a loving, caring, sweet and kind woman with a gentle soul. Bernita was an amazing mom and her family was her life. She will be dearly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 16, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.
