Frank M. Durkalski, age 88, passed away December 10, 2017, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Hts. He was born January 18, 1929, in Orwell, and had been a Chester Twp. resident for 40 years.

Frank was a longtime active ner of Chester Christian Center in ter Twp. His greatest passions were his family and his church. After retirement, he was often found working to serve other people. Frank had a great siasm for all people he met, most bly his employees at Truline Industries. Frank began his career in 1957 with Truline Industries as a Plant Manager, later purchased the business in 1977, and retired in 1997. He also had a great love for baseball, and participat­ed in the Cleveland Indians Fantasy Camp for the last three years alongside his son Court and grandson Trevor.

He is survived by his son Court (Amy); grandsons, Trevor (fiancé Lauren) and Aaron Durkalski; sisters, Albina Lyle and Gen Short; and many nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife Joan; son, Dean; sisters, Bernice, Mary, Helen, and Chetty; brother, John; and brothers-in-law, Henry Lyle and Doug Short.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 cothe Rd. in Chester Twp.

A Celebratio­n of Frank’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 15, at Chester Christian Center, 11815 Chillicoth­e Rd., Chester Twp. (Please meet at church.) Pastor Steve Sawczak will officiate. Burial will be at Western Reserve morial Gardens in Chester Twp.
