It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Denniston, age 75, of Fort Lee, N.J. announced his passing on Saturday December 9, 2017.

He was a devoted father to Jason Denniston and his wife Andrea Viglasi, Gareth Denniston and his wife Sandi, and Kara Denniston and her husband Waldene Nogueira; loving brother to George Denniston; and cherished grandfathe­r to Talon Denniston and the late Lilliana Denniston.

He was proceeded in death by his parents George niston and Lillian (Kobliha) Denniston.

Robert (aka Bob) started his life in Fowler’s Mill, Ohio. He lived a simple life then. As a child, he went to a one-room elementary school, was an active 4H member, and worked in the family granary. Bob continued his education as an graduate and graduate of Kent State University with a major in Geography. He went on to get his doctorate from ers College Columbia, NYC. Bob was a teacher for over 30 years at Pomona Jr. High School in Spring Valley, New York. After retirement, he continued to teach as a substitute er for Fort Lee High School in N.J. Bob loved teaching, the arts, and had a passion for Broadway and Opera.

The family will receive their friends on Saturday, 12:30 p.m. at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main Street (opposite the Fort Lee Library). The ebration of Bob’s life will begin at 1p.m. on Saturday.
