Beth J. Walsh

Beth J. Walsh, 71, of Rittman, formerly of Willoughby, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Summa Akron City Hospital, following a period of declining health.

Beth was born on June 22, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Edward and Lisa (Betti) Ursic. She graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 1964, received her Bachelor’s degree from Ursuline College, and then obtained her Master’s Degree from Cleveland State University.

She had worked as a Reading Specialist for Cleveland Public Schools, retiring in 2011.

Beth was a generous, devout Christian, and an active member at Crown Hill Mennonite Church. She enjoyed reading, writing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are daughter, Katie (Matt) Ramseyer of Marshallville, OH; grandchildren, Calla, Emmett, and Weston Ramseyer; three brothers, Edward (Mary Anne) Ursic of Wickliffe, Rick (Vida) Ursic of Willowick, and Ken Ursic of Windsor; four nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Crown Hill Mennonite Church, 9693 Benner Road, Rittman, with Pastor Thomas Dunn officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at Crown Hill Mennonite Church.
