William Ronnie Clifton, 69, of Mentor, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the Louis Stokes V.A. Medical Center in Cleveland. He was born tember 8, 1948, in Jonesville, Va. to the late James Clifton and Sarah Murphy (Harber).

Ron served as a Sergeant and RTO in the Vietnam War for the United States Army from 1968 to 1969. After, he worked at Cleveland Crane then Bud dustries in Willoughby. He was a Mentor High School graduate, Class of 1966. He used to enjoy bowling, fishing, and playing baseball. His biggest joy in life was ing a grandpa.

Survivors include his children, “Bill” Clifton Jr. of Wickliffe and Beth (Chris) Pribilski of tor; grandchild­ren, Anna and Alex; sister, Tammy (Tom) Kingsley of Greer, South Carolina; and nieces Emily Urban and Sarah Kingsley.

Preceding Ron in death was his former wife, Debbie Clifton, whom he was married to for 17 years; and brother, Buddy Clifton.

A funeral service will be held 7 p.m., Wednesday, ber 27, at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & mation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. til the time of the service. Since Ron was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan he requested that you please attend services dressed in your favorite Cleveland Team’s attire.

A graveside service will take place 10 a.m. Thursday, cember 28, in Mentor Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Rd., Mentor, please meet at the cemetery (Section 35).
