Fun Day at the Glen

Bring the family and friends for a good time learning about nature during Fun Day Monday at Penitentia­ry Glen Reservatio­n. Fun Day at the Glen is free for all ages. Stop by the nature center between 10 am and 3 pm for free indoor and outdoor activities with a Winter Olympic theme. Travel from station to station, both inside and outside, and record your speed and distance on the various events. As they progress, they can compare their stats to common native Ohio wildlife. Did you know a cotton rabbit can jump up to 15 feet? Children can see how far they can jump from a standing still position.

Enjoy scavenger hunts, a nature craft, s’mores, X-Plorer packs filled with seasonal hands-on activities, animal encounters from the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center and much more! Naturalist­s will be on hand to answer all of your nature-related questions and to help guide you through the day.

Explore the park on snowshoes. Rentals are available for a small fee on a first-come, first-served basis, weather permitting. Stop by the Nature Center for details.

The Nature Center and Wildlife Center are open 9 am to 5 pm. The Nature Store, open until 4:30 pm.
