Chagrin Falls PR firm announces new hire
Yopko Penhallurick announced that Madison Suvak has joined the public relations agency as public relations assistant.
In her role, Suvak’s responsibilities include digital content and social media engagement, along with media relations and marketing communications efforts for the Chagrin Fallsbased agency.
Prior to joining Yopko Penhallurick, Suvak served in a communications role with RedTreehouse.org, a division of the Cleveland Ronald McDonald House.
Suvak, of Brunswick, earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from John Carroll University’s Tim Russert Department of Communication and Theatre. She completed internships with The Ronald McDonald House and Allied Integrated Marketing.

Small-business fraud is seminar topic
“Protecting Your Small Business from Fraud: How to Identify Risk Issues and Develop a Plan” is the topic of a free seminar slated for Jan. 18 at Lakeland Community College’s Holden University Center in Kirtland.
The program takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Experts from Dollar Bank and Skoda Minotti will talk about developing a plan to protect your business and identifying fraud risk from cyber thieves, employees, customers and even environmental events. Topics to be covered include: ransomware/cyber threats; phishing; credit card/payment fraud; identity theft; malware (viruses); protecting against embezzlement and/or other employee fraud; and the importance of backing up data to protect against natural disasters and equipment failure.
