Mary Biondolillo (Braun)

Mary Biondolillo (Braun), 96, of Wickliffe went home to the Lord Jesus on day, January 15, 2018. She passed peacefully, surrounded with love at Mount Saint Joseph Care Center. Mary was born in Busso, Campobasso, Italy on October 19, 1921. Her family moved to the U.S. in 1935. The family moved to Bellview Street in Wickliffe in 1937. She married Jack Biondolillo in 1943. They were married for 30 years before Jack passed away in 1973. They raised four children, Robert (Christine), Daniel (Nancy), Rita (James) Tomsic and Jimmy.

In 1960 she began her career at Bailey Meter and was a charter member of the Bailey Controls Credit Union. After her retirement in 1982 from Bailey she married Bob Braun. Bob passed away in 1990.

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel’s Famous Spaghetti Dinner would not have been called “Famous” had it not been for Mary, a longtime president of the Mt. Carmel Society. She loved cooking and baking bread and pizza in her legendary door oven. She enjoyed taking care of her yard and garden. Mary’s greatest joy in life came from her family, especially her 8 grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was a proud member of the Wickliffe American Legion Auxilliary and Mt. Carmel Parish Building Committee.

Mary is survived by a brother Ercolo (Marianne) Picciano and a sister Filomena (Dr. Louis) Spronz.

She was preceded in death by her parents Liberato and Lucia Picciano, sisters Lorenza (Dominic) Albanese, nette (Carmen) Mucciarone and brother Nicola (Theresa) Picciano.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 29840 Euclid Ave. Wickliffe.

Family will receive friends 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Ave. Wickliffe.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to Mt. Saint Joseph Care Center, 21800 Chardon Road, Euclid, Ohio 44117.

Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
