Wickliffe man gets jail for stealing metal
A Wickliffe man will serve time behind bars for stealing metal for scrap from his former employer.
Ellard Kinney, 35, was indicted last year after stealing from Victor Metals in Wickliffe.
He was recently sentenced to 150 days in jail with work release after pleading guilty to grand theft in Lake County Common Pleas Court.
Judge Eugene A. Lucci also ordered him to pay $9,051.60 in restitution to Victor Metals.
Co-defendant Dustin Kinney, 34, of Wickliffe, was sentenced in December 2016 to two years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated theft.
Dustin Kinney, who is Ellard’s brother, was ordered to pay the business $60,000 in restitution.
