Ronald R. Shorts

Ronald R. Shorts, age 68, of Eastlake, passed away after a brief illness on February 16, 2018. He was born in Franklin, PA on July 3, 1949.

He was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. A tremendous loss is felt by all of those who were blessed and honored to know him. In his free time he truly enjoyed traveling, cooking, photography, ing his favorite teams, especially the Steelers, and coaching Softball. Above all his greatest joy was time spent with his family and dear friends.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Nancy, dren Scott Shorts, Nicole McMasters (David Gomes), Keith (Shannon) Shorts, Lauren (Matt) Pisanelli. Including his grandchildren Tiffani, Lexi, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Scott Jr., Jacob, Aubrey and Bennett. As well as mom, Bonnie (David) Waid, brother Richard (Arlene) Shorts and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his step-father Bill Dupont, grandparents Eathel and Russell Deeter and half-sister net Shorts-Parsley.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11am at Advent Lutheran Church, 7985 Munson Rd, Mentor.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 4 to 8pm at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Ron can be made to St. Jude or Advent Lutheran Church.
