Customer Service Representative
Job Description: The News-Herald / Morning Journal circulation department is seeking a Part Time Customer Service Representative working in the Willoughby, Ohio office. You will be the initial point of contact for News-Herald subscribers, customers and vendors. This position will act as the liaison between customers, carriers, circulation management and others. You should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, team environment and be focused on achieving goals and improving processes. Responsibilities: • Communicate with customers, carriers and office staff in a daily deadline
environment. • Maintain accurate records of customer complaints/requests and provide
information to delivery team • Directly contribute to the resolution of customer complaints • Answer multi-line phones, redirecting calls, taking messages. • Perform outbound calling assignments as necessary. • Greet and assist walk-in customers. • Follow-up on customer service issues to ensure successful outcomes • Enter cash and credit card transactions. • Enter a variety of data into subscriber and contact databases • Perform basic data processing functions • Open and sort mail • Perform general office duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent; some college, preferred. • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Docs and email. • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced office environment • Ability to convey a friendly and caring demeanor when communicating with
customers • Some customer service experience and/or inbound/outbound phone
experience, preferred. Additional Information: • Monday-Friday (possible Saturday’s) 20-25 hours/week • $11.00/hr plus monthly bonuses
