The winner advances to a Canton regional final March 15 against the winner of Mansfield St. Peter’s and East Canton.

Cornerstone advanced to the regional level after defeating Warren JFK, then Bristol, to claim the Orwell District title. Rittman emerged from the Norton District after the Indians beat Cuyahoga Heights, 48-27. A trio of seniors leads Rittman into its regional berth. Wing Kaleb Bauman leads the Indians in scoring at 16.7 points per game. Point guard William Swartz averages 12.6 points and a team-best 4.1 assists per game. In the paint, 6-foot10, 250-pound center Justin Flaisman anchors the Indians with averages of 10.7 points and a team-high 7.9 rebounds per game. The Patriots guard contingent of Michael Bothwell, Jeremy Owens, Titus Wheeler, Dontavius Henry, Martel Ferrell and Ricky Adams have proven they can lock up anyone on the perimeter. How Cornerstone game plans for Flaisman’s massive presence will be intriguing. However the Patriots perform offensively, they’ll rely on defense to advance to a regional final.
