‘Skate Dance Dream’ coming April 7
Dance and figure skating are set to come together with a dance stage-on-ice for one night only in Aspen Dental Presents Skate Dance Dream: Mentor, Ohio, a Parker Pennington Production.
This one-of-a-kind show will fuse the two similar art forms into one cohesive production, combining the stars with the next generation of talent, according to a news release
The show will be staged at 7 p.m. April 7 at the Mentor Ice Arena, 8600 Munson Road.
Skate Dance Dream will be headlined by Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 10 winner Amy Yakima and Olympian, World and U.S. National Figure Skating Champion Kimmie Meissner, the release stated. SYTYCD finalists joining Yakima on the star team include Sara VonGillern, Gev Manoukian and Amelia Lowe.

The show will feature a full variety of dance and skating styles from the professionals and over 200 young local dancers and skaters. The production will showcase local and regional talent in dance and figure skating, including special performances by the Mentor Figure Skating Club, Mentor Ice Diamonds Synchronized Skating Teams, the Dance Stop, Torrie’s Academy of Dance and Robert’s Conservatory of Dance.
