1908: Original constructi­on of Wildwood Estate

1920: Formal gardens added to rear of building

1935-1940: Addition to the servants’ quarters

1939: Death of John G. Oliver. Ownership of estate is transferre­d to daughter Margaret Oliver Collacott and husband Robert

1939-1948: The Collacotts winterize the residence

1948: Garage addition is added to the west portion of the residence

1949: The Collacotts become permanent residents

1956-1957: Kitchen and servants space is remodeled and modernized

1973: Death of Margaret Oliver Collacott. Ownership transferre­d to her daughters, May Targett and Catherine DeWitt

1980: City of Mentor purchases estate from Targett and DeWitt for $300,000. It is added to National Register of Historic Places. Portions of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing throughout the house are updated. Wallpaper, draperies and flooring are changed

1986: Garage space is remodeled into multipurpo­se room

1991: New roof is installed on the residence

1993: Porch on the east side of the residence is enclosed

1996: New bathroom addition is added to the west side of the structure
