Geauga United Way seeks volunteers

United Way Services of Geauga County is recruiting for Community Impact Volunteers.

The volunteers will assist the organization in the review of grant proposals submitted from agencies requesting program funds. Donations made to UWSGC are used to support programs in the county.

Community Impact Volunteers will learn about the needs of the community, agencies addressing those issues, interview applicant agencies, and make funding decisions to distribute grants to nonprofit partners serving individuals who live or work in Geauga County.

The entire proposal review process will take place in April and May. The volunteers also will be invited to attend visits to agencies approved for funding through this process. Visits will be scheduled between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2020.
