requests: The W.E.L.L. Willoughby House of Prayer, 4091 Erie St., Willoughby, welcomes all to come in this season of our Saviors resurrection to offer prayer for our leaders, the military and our first responders. Prayer requests may be left on the prayer boards inside or outside the W.E.L.L.. Volunteers will pray over each board every hour we are open. A special time of prayer for those with addictions and their families is 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday evenings. Call 440-227-2910 for further information. Amazing Grace Easter events: Amazing Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church will host an Easter Sunrise Service, Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 6:30 a.m. April 1 at the Chestnut Shelter off Chagrin River Road in the North Chagrin Reservation. Tickets for the pancake breakfast are $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for children and $16 for families. A traditional Easter Service will be held at 11 a.m. on April 1 at Amazing Grace, 5632 Wilson Mills Road, Highland Heights. For details, call 440-442-6441.
Rummage sale: A rummage sale will be April 19-21 at the Mayfield United Methodist Church, 7747Mayfield Road, Chester Township. The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., April 19; from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 20 and 9 a.m. to noon April 21, which will also be bag day. Early birds at 8 a.m., April 19 will be charged admission of $10 per person. All proceeds benefit church missions. Breakfast served: St. Mary of Chardon Knights of Columbus will host an all-you-can-eat pancakes,
sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs breakfast. Pancakes will be buttermilk, blueberry or chocolate chip, with real maple syrup. The breakfast will be served April 29, at the church, 401 North St. Cost is $8 for adults; $7 for seniors and $3 children ages 6 through 12 years of age. Ages 5 and younger will be admitted free. Patients’ rights discussed:
It’s About Living, a program about patients’ rights, will be presented on at 7 p.m. April 18, and again at 9 a.m. April 19 at 9 a.m. at St. Cyprian Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry. Rita Marker, executive director of the Patients Rights Council, will be featured. She is an accomplished attorney with expertise in the rights one has as a patient. A free legal document will be made available. The program is handicapped accessible. Eucharistic Adoration: The community is invited to join St. Gabriel Parish at 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.,
April 22 in the church for a Eucharistic Adoration that will include music and deep reflection on the real presence of Jesus.
W.E.L.L. seeking volunteers: The W.E.L.L., Willoughby House of Prayer, 4091 Erie St., Willoughby, has a committed volunteer visiting merchants in the downtown area to include their prayer requests on our prayer boards. Volunteers will then pray each day over each request as they read them on the boards. Those interested may place a request on the outside board or come in and write it inside the House of Prayer. W.E.L.L. is looking for new volunteers willing to give a few hours a week to pray for needs in the community. Stop in any time to ask a question or give a request. The W.E.L.L. is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday; on Thursday and Friday the W.E.L.L. remains open until 8 p.m.
Divorce recovery: DivorceCare divorce recovery seminar and support group meets each Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Fellowship Bible Church located at 16391 Chillicothe Road, Bainbridge. DivorceCare features nationally recognized experts on divorce and recovery topics. Seminar sessions include “Facing My Anger,” “Facing My Loneliness,” “New Relationships,” “KidCare” and “Forgiveness.” For more information, call Kathryn at 440-241-3281. Choir seeking members: The Good Tidings Benefit Choir will be performing Handel’s Messiah and is currently seeking choir members. All proceeds from the event benefit the Geauga Hunger Task Force.
