Hydrant flushings in Mentor, M-L
Aqua Ohio’s Mentor Division is conducting water main flushing in the Mentor and Mentor-on-the-Lake service areas through April 27, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
No interruptions in water service will occur as a result of the flushing but customers may notice water pressure fluctuations or temporary water discoloration, according to a news release. If possible, customers should refrain from doing laundry to avoid staining while the flushing is taking place near their home.
If tap water is discolored, allow it to run until clear. Running several cold-water faucets at the same time will help the water clear faster, the release stated. Customers who have questions may call Customer Service Center at 877-987-2782.

Volunteers needed for Meals on Wheels
The Lake County Council on Aging announced that its Meals on Wheels program is in urgent need of volunteer drivers to deliver meals in the Painesville area as the need for services continues to climb.
Volunteers who can commit to deliver a route at least one day a week are needed.
Every weekday, volunteer drivers deliver lunchtime meals to homebound seniors between 10:30 a.m. and noon. Last year, volunteers helped to deliver over 160,000 meals to these older residents in need, throughout Lake County.
The home delivered meal program is an opportunity to volunteer as an individual or duo, with a family member or a friend, and meet new people within the community. Delivering meals also allows for local businesses, community groups and churches to adopt a route and schedule group members to deliver on that day each week.
