WomenSafe, Inc., an organization which provides emergency shelter and resources to survivors of domestic violence, is the beneficiary of the local 2018 Movers for Moms program.

Movers for Moms was started by the corporate office of Two Men and a Truck which encourages every franchise to team with local partners to collect donations to be distributed around Mother’s Day to shelters and mothers in need, according to Amy Gladieux, marketing and recruiting manager for Two Men and A Truck Cleveland.

The business puts collections boxes at local businesses where people can drop off donations. The receiving organization provides a wish list of what they need most though all donations are accepted.

“We have a lot of partners in the community and being part of the Chamber of Commerce, I have gotten to know a lot of people and its really easy to support a charity like this when you have great partners in the community,” Gladieux said. “One of the reasons we do this is to make the community aware of the needs of the women and the children right here in Lake County.”

The moving company has about 15 donation sites through Lake County which are accepting donations through May 4.

Employees from Two Men and A Truck will collect the donated items from all the sites and deliver them to WomenSafe.

Gladieux has been a part of this program for three years and said she has seen it grow each year.

According to the Movers for Moms website www.twomenandatruck.com/movers-for-moms, 2017 was a record breaking year for the company on a nationwide level for the amount of donations they collected. Over 295,000 donated items were

collected and delivered to shelters all over the United States and they have donated
