Adventure Week: Fellowship Bible Church, 16391 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls, Fellowship Kids have announced that Adventure Week (Illuminate) will be June 25-28. This four-day camp is for preschoolers (at least 4 years old) through elementary (completed 5th grade). Kids will make lasting friendships while experiencing God’s love and exploring His Word. Revival set: A revival at New Promise Church, 8671 EuclidChardon Road, in Kirtland, will be May 6-9 with Evangelist George Holley and Vertical Kids Ministry for children. Golf outing: Bethel Lutheran Church in Willowick will sponsor its eighth annual Bethel Outreach Golf Outing on June 15, at the Briardale Greens Golf Course in Euclid. The event will begin with a shotgun start at 9 am and will be a four-person scramble format. All proceeds from the tournament will go directly to support local programs and organizations in the community. These programs include the Willowick Food Pantry, Lake County Community Network, Willowick youth sports, Hearts & Hammers of Willowick, Willowick Middle and Royalview Elementary Schools and The National Fire Safety Council. Golfers of any skill-level are invited to participate. Players may register as a foursome, but golfers who register individually or in groups less than four may be combined to complete a foursome wherever possible. The $75/person entry fee covers:18 Holes of golf with cart; Free range balls prior to the start of your round; Gift bag for each golfer; Coffee and donuts in the morning and hot dogs, chips, and beer at the turn; Dinner that includes both ribs and chicken following the round; and one raffle ticket entering you into the drawing for the door prize. Also planned are a 50⁄50 Drawing, Gift Raffle, Hole-inOne Contest and other optional special events throughout the course. The tournament committee is also currently seeking corporate sponsors, hole sponsors, as well as gifts and prizes for the raffle. Evening of Inspiration:
The public is welcome to an “Evening of Inspiration” at First Church, Congregational, on the Square in Downtown Painesville, at 7 p.m. , May 11, to celebrate music from the Harvey High School Choir and support The Koinonia Camp in Geneva. Coffee, tea, juice and baked good refreshments will be served in the Social Room immediately following the performance. There is no cost to attend. Willoughby rummage sale:
A rummage and bake sale will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 37728 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. The sale is sponsored by the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML). Lunch goodies and bakery will be available. For additional information, call 440-942-7766
Concord church rummage
sale: Hope Ridge United Methodist Church, 9870 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township, will host a rummage sale, June 1-2. The sale will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 1, with $1 admission, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 2, with free admission. The sale includes household items, toys, sporting goods, all types of clothing, and returning this year, a special room of collectibles, antiques, and unique items. Lunch will be available. Kirtland Rummage sale: Divine Word Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland, will host the annual Gigantic Rummage Sale — rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., July 12, 13 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., July 14. Early birds are welcome from 6-8 p.m. July 11 for a $25 donation at the door. Donations of clean, unwanted household items, clothes, jewelry, etc. will be accepted at lower level of the church (Furniture accepted at the barn) beginning July 6 through July 8 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Bring your unwanted electronics and metallic items also, NO CRT (TUBE) TVs, for a recycling fundraiser. Eucharistic Adoration: The community is invited to join St. Gabriel Parish, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road in Concord Township, from, 6:30- p.m., June 10, July 15, and Aug. 19 in the church for a Eucharistic Adoration that will include music and deep reflection on the real presence of Jesus.
Reiki therapy offered: Mentor Presbyterian Church, 5885 Hopkins Road, Mentor, will offer free Reiki Therapy at 2 p.m. the third Sunday of each month in the newly renovated healing center. Jubilee celebration: St. Cyprian’s Church in Perry is celebrating the church’s 50th Jubilee this year. The search is on for founding families who attended in 1968, to honor with a special dinner. Any historical photographs, old stories or other memorabilia that parishioners would like to share with the Jubilee Committee would be appreciated. Yoga offered: Chardon United Methodist Church will offer yoga on Wednesdays from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It began April 11. A gentle, progressive style of yoga suitable for all ages and body types will be offered. On the floor, or on a chair, this class includes Asana(postures), Pranayama(breath practices), and relaxation. No experience is needed. Conducted by master teacher and instructor Susan Gundersen, this is a donation class (suggested donation $10) with proceeds going toward the church’s Guatemala mission. WELL taking prayer requests:
The W.E.L.L. Willoughby House of Prayer, 4091 Erie St., Willoughby, welcomes all to come in this season of our Saviors resurrection to offer prayer for our leaders, the military and our first responders. Prayer requests may be left on the prayer boards inside or outside the W.E.L.L.. Volunteers will pray over each board every hour we are open. Choir seeking members: The Good Tidings Benefit Choir will be performing Handel’s Messiah and is currently seeking choir members. All proceeds from the event benefit the Geauga Hunger Task Force.
