Detailing shop Lux Auto Spa open for business
Lux Auto Spa owners Kevin Justice and Matthew Rolf are fulfilling their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs.
The pair recently opened a detailing shop at 460 Richmond Road in Painesville.
“I grew up down the street and I always cleaned my cars, myself,” Justice said. “I always wanted to own my own shop and I always wanted to work for myself. Being from here, I also wanted to do something here.”
Justice and Rolf both worked in the roofing business for years and were ready for a change.
“I’m just really excited and happy about this opportunity,” Rolf said. “This is something I’ve always wanted to do. I always wanted to be a business owner.”
Aside from roofing, Justice gained professional experience detailing at a shop in Bedford, he said.
After discovering that the property was for lease, they decided to open a detailing shop of their own.
Lux Auto Spa opened May 5. Justice and Rolf are pleased with business so far.
“We’ve been busy,” Justice said. “We’ve done cars, trucks, motorcycles, a four wheeler, a boat and a golf cart. We’re happy to have the business and support from the city.”
The Auto Spa offers numerous services.
“We do vacuuming; window cleaning; rim and wheel cleaning; handwashing; in and out services and full detailing,” Justice said. “The in and out service includes the wash and we are going to shine the tires, we are going to clean the wheels, we are going to do the door jambs, windows, blow out the interior, wipe down the full interior, vacuum and give you a fragrance.”
Full detailing service is bumper-to-bumper cleaning including cleaning and degreasing the engine and clay bar treatments, he said.
The clay bar treatment removes the impurities from the exterior of the vehicles.
While having lunch across the street at the Fish Bar, Richard Apicello decided to check out Lux Auto Spa.
He said the services far exceeded his expectations.
“This is the best detailing shop in the county,” Apicello said, “They did a great job. My car looks brand new.”
The owners have many ambitious plans. The next step is to introduce mobile detailing services.
“We will soon be getting a van,” Justice said. “Once we get the van we will be able to do pressure washes on houses, driveways and patios.”
Lux Auto Spa will also offer mobile vehicle detailing services.
“This is only the beginning,” Rolf said. “We just hope to continue to grow from here.”
