Fairmount winners announced
Fairmount Center for the Arts announced its winners for the 42nd Annual Fairmount Art Exhibition held May 29 thru June 7 in Russell Township.
More than 200 artists submitted artwork and 140 entries were accepted into the show.
Judges for this year’s Exhibition were artists Mary Hobbs and Joe Leonard.
Categories included: Painting, Watercolor, Photography, Graphics, Three Dimensional
and Fiber. Painting included oil and acrylic with watercolor as its own category. Photography included traditional, computer-enhanced photographs and digital prints. Graphics included all media drawings, pastels, original handpulled prints, collage, and digital imaging (created in computer). The threedimensional category included all media sculpture, wood, glass, pottery, and jewelry. Fiber included quilting, weaving, and soft sculpture.
