Fairmount winners announced

Fairmount Center for the Arts announced its winners for the 42nd Annual Fairmount Art Exhibition held May 29 thru June 7 in Russell Township.

More than 200 artists submitted artwork and 140 entries were accepted into the show.

Judges for this year’s Exhibition were artists Mary Hobbs and Joe Leonard.

Categories included: Painting, Watercolor, Photograph­y, Graphics, Three Dimensiona­l

and Fiber. Painting included oil and acrylic with watercolor as its own category. Photograph­y included traditiona­l, computer-enhanced photograph­s and digital prints. Graphics included all media drawings, pastels, original handpulled prints, collage, and digital imaging (created in computer). The threedimen­sional category included all media sculpture, wood, glass, pottery, and jewelry. Fiber included quilting, weaving, and soft sculpture. 2nd Prize: Celeste DeSapri, “Rhapsody of Praise In Blue And Green”
