• Triple-A Columbus had its game against Charlotte delayed due to weather and was not completed in time for this edition.

• A slow start doomed Double-A Akron (40-30) in a 6-3 loss to visiting Hartford. The Yard Goats scored two in the first and three in the second to open a 5-0 lead. After making it a 6-0 game in the top of the fifth, Akron scored three in the bottom of the inning to cut the lead in half, but could do no more damage. Four Rubber-Ducks had a multi-hit game: Tyler Krieger (3-for-5), Andrew Calica (2-5), Joe Sever (25) and Willi Castro 2-4.

• Short-season Single-A Mahoning Valley (5-1) suffered its first loss of the season at the hands of host State College, 4-1. A three-run first inning by the Spikes powered the victory, with the teams trading runs in the seventh. Juan Mota picked up the loss for the Scrappers. He lasted 4 2⁄3 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits. He had five strike outs. Elvis Perez and Jose Fermin had a multihit game for the Scrappers, with each going 2-for-4.

• The DSL Indians (8-8) exploded for seven runs in the second inning and added on four more for good measure in a 11-1 rout of the DSL Rays2. Jhonkensy Noel provided the key hit in the second, belting a grand slam for his second home run of the season. Mike Garcia picked up his first win of the season with six innings of two-hit ball. Luis Garcia came in for the three-inning save.
