In January 2007, at his home where he admitted McFadden was sentenced to downloading to eight years in prison and viewing child porn after being convicted in Lake County Common Court of two counts of rape and two counts of attempted rape.
Those convictions stemmed from a 2006 Madison Township police investigation. His victims were a boy between 10 and 11 years old and a girl between 9 and 12 years old. He was released from prison in February 2015 and is on post-release control until February 2020.
“This is an example of why these investigations are so vital,” Geauga County Prosecutor Jim Flaiz said. “Here we have a convicted sexual predator out in the community who, despite spending eight years in prison, is seeking out and disseminating child pornography.”
The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Township Police Department, Lake County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cleveland Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted in the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing and a determination will be made at the conclusion whether to move forward with state or federal charges.
