- By Janet Podolak jpodolak@news-herald.com @JPodolakatwork on Twitter

Enjoy Ohio’s lovely Grand River Valley wine country from aloft with a tethered hot-air balloon ride 50 to 70 feet in the air over Debonne Vineyards, 7840 Doty Road, Madison.

Live music will provide a backdrop from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., while the twilight rides are from 6 to 8 p.m. They’re by reservation only, with commercial pilots making the weatherrelated decisions. Strong winds and rain will cancel the rides.

Remaining balloon ride dates are on Wednesdays July 18, Aug. 1, 15 and 29 and Sept. 12.

On July 19 at Debonne, enjoy music from Mentor High School’s Mannheim Orchestra while relaxing with wine on the lawn. The concert begins at 6 p.m., and the grill will be open for dinner orders. It’s a benefit for the orchestra, so donations are requested for parking and 15 percent of food sales from the grill will be donated to the Orchestra.

Call 440-466-3485 for reservations. Learn more about Debonne at debonne. com.
