President Robert H. Huntington presented diplomas to 238 undergrads and an additional 57 graduate students, who received degrees in counseling, education, business administration and music education.
Mary Welsh Schlueter, the founder and CEO of the Cincinnati-based nonprofit Partnership for Innovation in Education, delivered the commencement address. Heidelberg presented Welsh with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree. Graduating senior Emily Nolting was selected to represent the Class of 2018 as the undergraduate student speaker.
Founded in 1850, Heidelberg offers 31 majors, 32 minors and nine preprofessional programs, awarding the bachelor of arts, bachelor of science and bachelor of music, as well as master’s degrees in education, counseling, business administration and music.
