President Robert H. Huntington presented diplomas to 238 undergrads and an additional 57 graduate students, who received degrees in counseling, education, business administra­tion and music education.

Mary Welsh Schlueter, the founder and CEO of the Cincinnati-based nonprofit Partnershi­p for Innovation in Education, delivered the commenceme­nt address. Heidelberg presented Welsh with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree. Graduating senior Emily Nolting was selected to represent the Class of 2018 as the undergradu­ate student speaker.

Founded in 1850, Heidelberg offers 31 majors, 32 minors and nine preprofess­ional programs, awarding the bachelor of arts, bachelor of science and bachelor of music, as well as master’s degrees in education, counseling, business administra­tion and music.
