Support for addicted, incarcerated: Do you have a loved one or family member who is addicted or incarcerated? If you are feeling overwhelmed come and visit “The Well.” Every Thursday evening from 5 to 8 at the “The Well-Willoughby House of Prayer” at 4091 Erie St. in downtown Willoughby, there is discussion and prayer one-on-one for both heartaches. Also relatives and friends can have conversation fellowship and prayer in a safe and welcoming environment. The visits are anonymous and registration is not required.
Polka band to perform: The Chardon Polka Band will lead a polka-style worship service at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Road, Chardon, at 9:30 a.m., July 15. Following the worship service, the Chardon Polka Band will present a free, twohour concert at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A portion of the concert following the service will be devoted to the children in the audience. Bible school: Registration is now open for Shipwrecked Vacation Bible School at Willoughby United Methodist Church. VBS runs July 22 to July 26 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with Family Celebration on July 27. It is open to ages 3 years (and potty trained) to sixth grade (fall of 2018). Kids will venture onto an uncharted island where they will survive and thrive. They will be anchored in the truth that Jesus carries them through life’s storms. Each day at Shipwrecked VBS, kids travel through rotations of games, treats, Bible discovery, singing, and crafts that reinforce relevant Bible points and immerse kids in new adventures. Sunday services: Mentor Presbyterian Church, 5885 Hopkins Road, Mentor, hosts Sunday worship services at 12:30 p.m. Pot luck and worship services are from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month and Bible study is 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday mornings.

Jubilee celebration: St. Cyprian’s Church in Perry is celebrating the church’s 50th Jubilee this year. The search is on for founding families who attended in 1968, to honor with a special dinner. Any historical photographs, old stories or other memorabilia that parishioners would like to share with the Jubilee Committee would be appreciated. Healing ministry : A healing ministry will begin at 2 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month at Mentor Presbyterian Church, 5885 Hopkins Road, Mentor. Reiki will be used to promote healing of physical, emotional and spiritual problems by channeling God-given and directed energy. Anyone is invited to attend this monthly ministry.
